The Foundation has worked closely with the Sioux City Community School District to identify areas in need of additional help because of the limitations of state-based funding. They are STEM, Arts & Culture, and Equity.
STEM
Encouraging students’ interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math by providing students with opportunities for hands-on learning experiences. STEM allows them to apply what they learn in the classroom to tools and skills they can take with them in any career.

Empowering students to be healthy global learners by providing access to and instruction in theatre, art, dance, and music. This helps our students broaden life experience, infusing a deeper understanding and connection to values different from their own.

Reducing the education gap by supporting students from low-income homes allowing access to programs, experiences, and classroom supplies as well as closing the literacy gaps and providing opportunities for excellence above and beyond the classroom.

Our purpose is to activate innovation with our educators for our students. Cutting edge curricula often can’t be achieved through limited state funding. Through local partnerships, the Foundation has been able to support influential programs that create future-ready students who will lead our community.
